Each of our honey varieties comes from a single floral source, giving it a distinct flavour profile, colour, and aroma. From the light, citrusy notes of Eucalyptus to the deep, caramel richness of Sidr — no two taste the same. Tasting notes and origin for each variety are available on the individual product pages.
Our honey is sourced from carefully selected apiaries across India's most distinctive landscapes — from the Himalayan foothills to the Nilgiris. We work exclusively with migratory beekeepers who follow the seasons and the bloom, moving their hives to ensure each variety captures the full character of its floral source. Every batch is traceable from hive to jar.
Honey does not spoil when stored correctly. For best flavour and aroma, and as per FSSAI labelling guidelines, we recommend consuming within 12 months of the harvest date printed on the jar or sachet. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Bend the sachet in half over your cup or hand. Apply pressure — a precision-engineered slit along the centre edge snaps open. Squeeze gently and the honey dispenses cleanly from the centre. Release, and the slit closes naturally — no dripping, no mess. One-handed, hygienic, no spoon required.
Our honey jars are packaged in premium glass — inert, reusable, and infinitely recyclable. Glass is the only vessel that preserves the purity of what's inside without compromise. Our Snap-Click Sachets are single-dose and crafted from 100% recyclable mono-material polypropylene — a considered choice for on-the-go without unnecessary waste. No multi-layer laminates. No unnecessary materials.
Purity & Quality
Our honey is tested for purity using standard FSSAI-approved methods. We source directly from verified apiaries and maintain full traceability from hive to jar. No sugar syrups, no blending, no additives — ever. Crystallisation is a natural sign of purity; if your honey crystallises, it is behaving exactly as pure honey should.
Most commercial honey is ultra-filtered and heat-treated to remove pollen and extend shelf life — but this also strips out the very compounds that cause natural crystallisation. If your honey never crystallises, it has likely been heavily processed. Pure honey crystallises. It is supposed to.
Raw honey is extracted and cold-filtered to remove only natural debris like wax, leaving its natural texture, pollen, and aroma intact. Many commercial honeys are heated and ultra-filtered to stay liquid longer and look uniform. At NECTAR&COMB, our honey is always cold-filtered and never heated above hive temperature, to preserve its natural character and taste.
We never heat our honey above hive temperature. Heating honey makes it easier to filter and bottle, but it can also dull its natural aroma, flavour, and texture. We cold-filter only, so what the bees put in, stays in — in its most natural form.
Crystallisation is completely natural and is actually a sign of pure, unadulterated honey. To bring it back to liquid form, place the jar or sachet in a bowl of warm (not boiling) water and let it sit for a few minutes. Do not microwave or place in direct sunlight, as excessive heat can affect its natural flavour and aroma. Your honey is perfectly safe to eat in its crystallised form too.
Health & Safety
No. Honey should never be given to infants under 12 months of age due to the risk of infant botulism, a rare but serious illness. This applies to all varieties of honey, including raw, processed, and infused. For children above 1 year, honey is generally safe in moderation. If you have any concerns, please consult your pediatrician.
Store at room temperature in a tightly sealed jar, away from direct sunlight, moisture, and heat. Never use a wet spoon — water can cause fermentation. Do not refrigerate. For best flavour and aroma, consume within 12 months of the harvest date printed on the label.
Yes. NECTAR&COMB is fully FSSAI licensed and compliant with all food safety standards applicable to honey in India. Our license number is displayed on every product label.
